This weekend, we Earthbound voyeurs will have an opportunity to look in on a one week belated Valentine's Day date between Mars and Venus. On Friday, the 20th, the two share a romantic evening while being serenaded by the nearby crescent Moon low in the Western sky. The following night, they enjoy a little alone time at their closest, separated by less than a lunar diameter in the sky.

And as darkness falls, be sure from time to time to look up in perfect silence at the stars!
